Owner
Mark McDaniel
With over 30 years in the livestock industry and nearly two decades in corporate America, Mark has built a career rooted in expertise, dedication, and integrity. His deep understanding of livestock markets, combined with his business acumen, allows him to deliver top-tier service and strategic insight at McDaniel Livestock Exchange. Beyond his professional achievements, he takes immense pride in his family—his wonderful wife of 34 years, three amazing children, and three cherished grandchildren. Drawing from every chapter of his journey, he brings a wealth of knowledge, unwavering loyalty, and a commitment to excellence in everything he does at MLX.
Owner
Roger McDaniel
A native of McCurtain County, Roger McDaniel has served as co-owner and operator of McDaniel Livestock Exchange since its founding in 2020. Roger brings a lifetime of cattle experience with him to MLX, including working at sale barns in every capacity since he was 12 years old and buying cattle everywhere between Florida and Oklahoma since age 17. Roger spent 40 years as an order buyer for various cattle companies and Packing Plants, including Conley Cattle Company for 19 years and most recently, Langley Cattle Company for 18 years. Roger also operates L&M Cattle Company, a venture began by his father, Leonard McDaniel, in the 1950’s. Roger is one of five McDaniel brothers and never meets a stranger. He has been married to Randee for 45 years and is a proud father and grandfather to his daughter, son in law, and granddaughter. While working in the cattle industry has been the highlight of his life, he also enjoys trips with his family.

Curtis McDaniel
Curtis has been involved in the livestock industry his entire life, growing up on a ranch with a family that operated stockyards off and on, dating back to 1957. He married his wife of 54 years, Debbie, in 1971, and they have 3 children, 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren,. After graduating from Oklahoma State University in 1975 he taught Vocational Agriculture for 12 years before going to work for Cooper Ag Services in Oklahoma City, a firm that bought, sold, and managed feeder cattle. During that period, he helped design and build OKC West Stockyards in El Reno, OK, as well as holding a license on the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He has auctioneered for Oklahoma National Stockyards, OKC West Stockyards, and J&J Livestock in Texarkana, TX. From 1996–2012, he was a school administrator for Smithville Public Schools and then spent two terms in the Oklahoma House of Representatives. He then spent two years directing a Statewide AmeriCorps VISTA Program for Forest Grove Public School. Curtis chose to join his brothers in carrying on the family tradition of owning and serving the community with another sale barn. In January 2020 McDaniel Livestock Exchange was opened by brothers Curtis, Roger, and Mark McDaniel fulfilling the dream.

For over six decades, the Leonard McDaniel family has been deeply involved in the auction barn industry, starting in DeQueen in 1957 and expanding to Idabel, Wister, and Antlers. With a commitment to quality service, they proudly continue the tradition built over the years.
